"Winding Path at Long Point" is a fine art photograph from Martha’s Vineyard artist Debra Gaines. This beautifully lit image was captured mid day. The winding path amidst the rich blue skies and deep green grasses with yellow tips from the sunlight seems endless.

The irony of this image is that I saw the beautiful clouds on my way to working one of our artisan’s fairs and was so captivated by them and wished to capture them over the beautiful shoreline. It was shortly after a major knee surgery at this time when I limped the distance and climbed on top of the dune, only to find that the clouds were not over the water at all. I was so crestfallen, until I turned around and took in this view. It was worthy of my attention, being late and suffering after all!
